Montana M. Franklin Associate Attorney 

Montana M. Franklin is an associate attorney with The Family Law Firm of Donna J. Smiedt. Originally from Fort Myers, Florida, Montana has lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for 11 years. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology. Montana attended law school at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and graduated with her juris doctor in May of 2022. While in law school, she was a student associate in the VanSickle Family Law Clinic and was a member of SMU Women in Law. Montana passed the Texas Uniform Bar Exam with a score high enough to be licensed in any UBE jurisdiction.

She is currently a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the Tarrant County Association of Young Lawyers, the Dallas Bar Association, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas.

Montana loves working with people. She has a desire to come alongside them during some of the most sensitive and difficult times in their lives in order to help. After her experience as a student associate in the SMU VanSickle Family Law Clinic, she knew that Family Law was a perfect fit for her, aligning with both her love for people and her love of learning and practicing the law. Montana will handle your family law case with compassion and zeal, fighting for your interests both in and out of the courtroom.

Other than practicing law, Montana loves to watch Florida State athletics, read classic American literature, travel, and spend time with her husband and family.
